Brief Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Glasgow or Edinburgh Airport and transfer to Culzean Castle, Nr Maybole, on the East Coast.
Day 2: Culzean to Stonefield Castle, on the Kintyre Peninsula.
Day 3: Stonefield to Glengarry Castle, Nr Loch Ness.
Day 4: Glengarry to Tulloch Castle, north of Inverness.
Day 5: Tulloch Castle to Kildrummy Castle, near Aberdeen.
Day 6: Kildrummy Castle to Ballathie House Hotel, Nr Perth
Day 7: Balathie to Borthwick Castle, Nr Edinburgh. Stay 2 nights.
Day 8: Full day visit to Edinburgh, returning to Borthwick Castle.
Day 9: Borthwick to Culcreuch Castle Nr Fintry, north of Glasgow.
Day 10: Transfer to Glasgow or Edinburgh Airport and depart.

Hotel

You will stay in a carefully chosen mix of Mediaeval Castles, Scots Baronial Mansions and Country House Hotels, all selected for their high quality in terms of rooms, service, ambience and great food.

The Price Includes:

• 9 Nights Accommodation with Bed Breakfast & Evening Meal in shared twin or double rooms (Note: All specified hotels are subject to availability).
• Travel by deluxe coach or comfortable mini-bus / passenger van throughout the tour, including airport transfers where applicable.
• Admissions to specified castles, houses, museums etc
• V.A.T and all local service charges and taxes.

The Price Does Not Include:
Flights to and from Britain, lunches, insurance (we consider medical and accident & emergency cover, including repatriation expenses to your home country is essential). Single room supplements, items of a personal nature, e.g. drinks, telephone calls etc. Self Drive prices do not include evening meals or admissions to houses etc., services of a Grassroutes Tour Escort.

Based on a self-driven rental car, prices per person, sharing a double or twin room.

3 Star Hotel

• 2 persons – Vauxhall Astra Manual – 1.6 – 5 door salon – £805.00 per person
• 3 persons – Vauxhall Vectra 1.8 LS Manual 5 door saloon – £785.00 per person
• 4 persons – Vauxhall Omega 2.2 Automatic saloon (no manual)- £780.00 per person

Note: we cannot always guarantee these specific cars but will offer the nearest available. * Prices for automatics on application.

The Self-Drive Price Includes:

Flights

Grassroutes Holidays does not arrange flights. We can however assist you by telephoning fully bonded Air Tour Operators on your behalf. Please note that we do not take payment for flights ourselves, these must be made directly to the ATOL holder. By ensuring that you are booking direct with an ATOL holder you can rest assured that your flights are financially protected.
