This holiday will take you on a fascinating tour of English country houses and stately homes. You’ll see how some struggled to survive, whilst others thrived. You’ll visit large, grand mansions and small, homely manor houses, as well as romantic ruins. You’ll also meet some of the owners and hear of the many challenges they face preserving these treasures of our English Heritage.

Brief Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive at Manchester or London Airport. Transfer by private coach to Derbyshire.
Day 2: Casterne Hall, Tissington Hall and drive to Calke Abbey.
Day 3: Sudbury Hall, drive to Kedleston Hall.
Day 4: Hardwick Old Hall to Sutton Scarsdale Hall. Visit Bolsover Castle to Great Riding House Stables.
Day 5: Burghley House to Belvoir Castle.
Day 6: Haddon Hall. Free afternoon shopping in market town of Bakewell.
Day 7: Chatsworth House. Day spend in Chatwsorth.
Day 8: Leave Derbyshire, transfer to the airport.

Flights
Grassroutes Holidays does not arrange flights. We can however assist you by telephoning fully bonded Air Tour Operators on your behalf. Please note that we do not take payment for flights ourselves, these must be made directly to the ATOL holder. By ensuring that you are booking direct with an ATOL holder you can rest assured that your flights are financially protected.
